Matter and Memory It is a diptych built around two complementary forces: that which remains as accumulated knowledge and that which exists as body, surface, and territory. Memory it refers to an ancestral form of knowledge associated with the mountain, mineral time, and the slow cycles of the earth. Subject It condenses the physical dimension of the territory: soil, body, resource, friction, and dispute.
Together, both works explore how images transport historical forces and how color can reactivate inherited symbols, bringing them into a contemporary and unstable present.
Recycled plush fabric and polyester fiber sourced from second-hand stuffed animals.
