Latent Nature

There is a geography of silence. Spaces that once were
scene of activity, of movement. Places that were not
abandoned through neglect, but simply ceased to exist
necessary, and in that cessation they found a new way of existing.
This collective project was born from a shared perspective towards that other one
still life: not that of the classic pantry, but that of the land.
Landscapes that retain the trace of what they were without nostalgia nor
I am sorry, just being. Spaces suspended in time
own, untouched by the rush of the present.
Still life has always been, in art, a meditation
on impermanence. Here that tradition expands towards
architectural, the rural, the industrial. We photograph what
it remains when the action is withdrawn: not absence as loss,
but as a pause. Like a held breath.
